Excel Imaging Solutions was founded in 2009, building on more than 50 years of experience in medical imaging. Founder Steve Hayes began his career in X-ray and cardiac cath labs sales and leadership roles that helped expand major imaging manufacturers across the Carolinas and beyond. Over the decades, that hands-on expertise grew into successful dealer organizations, national partnerships, and a reputation for operational excellence. When Excel Imaging Solutions was formed, the focus was clear: deliver best-in-class imaging solutions by deeply knowing the products we support and standing behind every installation.

A defining moment came in 2013, when EIS became Samsung’s first U.S. imaging dealer and completed their first North American X-ray installation—setting the stage for national growth. Today, with thousands of systems installed across health systems and government accounts, EIS remains driven by the same principles it was built on: technical expertise, trusted partnerships, and a culture where accountability, teamwork, and doing things the right way always come first. Under the leadership of Michael Hayes, the company continues to build on that foundation while driving future growth and expanding its impact across the industry.
